Meaning Within The Words

About EJ

When I reflect on my struggle and what life means to me. I see that we are put in this world to help one another. I was born on August 5th, 1966 in Buffalo, New York. I grew up in the projects and didn’t have much. My mother and father worked hard to take care of my sister, brother and I. My dad was a machine operator, while my mom was a head cook in a nursing home.

We are meant to inspire, encourage and spread genuine love on this earth. We should appreciate all those around us. I believe that every person has a special place in the world and should be valued as precious. As much as we spend on material things we should double that with compassion.

I have been writing since the age of 20. I didn’t think of selling my work until 2004. The idea of “And There Was Poetry” has been in the making for years. I’ve set out to inspire the world with my poetry. Writing poems that enlighten the heart through concern using real situations, though relying on God’s creativity. Infused with his power of love in each poem. My main objective is to shine a light in dark situations. In some instances, ignite laughter. Which is one of the healthiest things you can do as humans. Reaching as many hurting hearts as possible through words of poetic expression!
